JEE Main 2027 Overview
JEE Main 2027 is the national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced 2027 (IIT admission). Based on the pattern of previous years, Session 1 is expected in January 2027 and Session 2 in April 2027.

- Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2025 or 2026, or appearing in 2027, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/technical vocational subject.
- No age limit for JEE Main — but institutes may have their own age criteria.
- You can attempt JEE Main in three consecutive years, with both sessions in a year counting as one attempt for eligibility purposes.
- For NIT/IIIT/GFTI admission: at least 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) or a place in the top 20 percentile of your board.
